I have been concerned mainly with perceived landscape, the ambiguities of figure and field and the depth created by overlapping forms, as well as a continual fascination with the movement and reflections of water.
I derive my subject material mostly from the natural world, from my garden, or from travels further afield. I use my visual memory and the feelings each subject matter engenders and make use of drawings made in situ.
